Laura H (AKA Laura Feet) is one of the podiatrists at Best Foot Forward as well as the owner.
She opened Best Foot Forward in 2017 when her youngest daughter was just 2 years old. Previous to this she had a domiciliary round in the local area and decided she wanted a more permanent base.
Initially she rented above Seddons Opticians and after 2 years, when the opticians retired she took over the ground floor
Her interest in podiatry began as a teenager after having suffered with ingrowing toenails herself and visiting a podiatrist regularly for treatment.
After graduating from the University of Salford she set up Best Foot Forward, carrying out podiatry visits in people’s home. Some of these first clients still attend clinic today. Not long after, she began working in another private practice within Wigan where she gained invaluable private practice experience.
After a few years Laura embarked on a career within the NHS and commuted to Liverpool to work for the trust in the community. Here she gained further experience in diabetic foot care, wound management and nail surgery.
After the birth of her 1st daughter Laura wanted to be closer to home so rebuilt her domiciliary business and over time decided to put proper roots in Tyldesley and open her own clinic. For a number of years, she ran both alongside each other on her own and when the opportunity arose for a move to a downstairs property she jumped at the chance.
Laura has a specialist interest in verruca treatments and nail surgery, as well as maintenance podiatry for those clients who require regular foot care.
As the clinic has grown Laura has had associate podiatrists working alongside her and currently Dawn Buck, a highly skilled and experienced podiatrist is working at best foot forward.
When Laura isn’t in clinic, she is busy running around after her 2 daughters and her golden retriever, Jasper.
With her husband they enjoy taking their caravan down to Cornwall, with the girls and Jasper, every year.
